Every design project created by our Studio is unique, and is based on the study of the specifics of the tasks and characteristics of each client, his life and preferences. However, in any case, the work is always according to well-established techniques, “polished” by generations of designers and architects, and verified by our experience. The process of designing and subsequent implementation is multi-stage and quite time consuming, each project involves the participation of several specialists of different directions. The cost and timing of the work depends on the size, style and other characteristics of the future project. If necessary we can make changes in the scope of work, by adding or removing certain components to ensure that each customer has received a result that closely matches its task, but the full design process is based on the following scheme.
The basis of any project, its “skeleton” – planning. From a well-designed layout depends to a large extent on how successful the project will be in the end. We prepare at least 3 variants of the planning solution. They are discussed with the customer, they are being finalized, their best features are united somewhere, and as a result we achieve an optimal planning solution.
- preparatory stage: discussion of project tasks, preparation of technical specifications;
- designer's departure for measurement, inspection and photo fixation;
- measurement plan for the existing situation with explication;
- planning solutions with the arrangement of furniture and equipment (at least 3 basic options);
- final plan-explication of premises after redevelopment with dimensions and zoning;
- furniture and equipment layout plan;
After the approval of the plan, the development of the most important component begins – the design concept, the idea of the project. At the initial stage, we prepare preliminary sketches or collages for all rooms. This is done to ensure that the designer has demonstrated the invented concept to the customer, in words and pictures protected his idea, in general, agreed the main details. After such a detailed discussion, the visualizer performs sketches of the premises, usually in the 3D visualization technique (manual delivery is possible at the request of the client). The sketch concept is presented to the customer, and if the customer is not satisfied with everything, the concept is finalized. At this stage, the project includes the main proposed materials, furniture and equipment. They are selected according to the preliminary budget orientation received from the customer, and after the concept is approved, a preliminary specification of the materials used in the project is made.
- preliminary sketching/moodboarding;
- development of the interior design concept;
- visualization (a set of sketches made in the technique of photorealistic visualization);
Plans for demolished and erected partitions, floors, ceilings, placement of lamps, binding of switches, sockets and elements of low-current networks, plumbing leads, main components and other things are being developed. Depending on the specifics of the project, experts from related fields such as ventilation and air conditioning, home theater and smart house components, other engineering systems and various built-in elements can be involved in consultations at this stage in order to take into account in advance the features of the required technical support of the facility.
- preliminary specification of the main finishing materials, furniture and equipment;
- finishing statement;
- plan of demolished partitions;
- the plan of erected partitions;
- floor plan indicating the types of floor coverings, sizes, heights;
- schemes of floor nodes;
- ceiling plan indicating the type of material used, dimensions, heights;
- schemes of ceiling nodes;
- layout of plumbing placement with release bindings;
- layout of placement of lighting devices with bindings of releases;
- layout of switches indicating the inclusion of groups of lamps with bindings;
- layout of electrical outlets, terminals and terminal elements of low-current networks with bindings;
- floor heating plan with binding of regulators;
- layout of indoor units of air conditioning systems and terminal elements of the ventilation system with bindings;
- plan-specification of doors;
Approved finishing materials and other details of the project are displayed on the sweeps and other drawings, on them the workers build lightweight wall structures, perform finishing finishing materials and interior decoration elements. For subcontractors, schemes and technical specifications for the manufacture of author’s furniture and other products executed under an individual project are prepared.
- scans of walls in rooms with the layout of wall coverings and electrical outlets, indicating the dimensions, the article and the calculation of the selected materials;
- layout scheme of floor coverings with indication of dimensions, article number and calculation of selected materials;
- development of a sketch solution of architectural elements and nodes with their bindings;
- development of a draft solution for individual furniture elements and interior decoration items with their bindings;
- layout of placement of baseboards, ceiling cornices, moldings, etc. decorative elements with bindings;
- consultation of performers at the facility before the start of construction and finishing works to study the details of the project at the place;
The specialist in the order, tied to the schedule of construction and finishing works, completes the object with furniture, equipment and finishing materials – from key elements to decorative details. As part of project support, procurement coordination is carried out, including the search for an optimal supplier and negotiations with it, as well as tracking the supply of materials and linking the delivery dates to the work of the construction team. As required, departures with the customer are made to the shops in order to approve the chosen furniture and equipment, to look at the finishing materials in live or in the suppliers’ catalogs, to finally agree on their appearance, size and other characteristics. It happens that in the course of such trips, the original project is subjected to certain improvements, “polished” during live contact with materials and refinement of their properties and characteristics.
- final specsheet for finishing materials;
- final specsheet for furniture and equipment;
- final specsheet for plumbing equipment;
- final specsheet for lighting equipment;
- final specsheet for electrical installation products;
- final specsheet for custom-made furniture and other author's products;
- final specsheet for textiles, decorative design elements and accessories;
- market analysis, request and comparison of proposals, work with suppliers, search for alternative options if necessary;
- departures of the designer with the customer for the selection of materials;
- coordination, sequencing and support of procurement and supply of finishing materials, furniture and equipment;
Undoubtedly, the total volume of provided project materials allows the customer and independently implement the project. However, having been engaged in our work for many years, we perfectly understand that construction is a complex and multi-component process. And not infrequently during the implementation of the project there are situations, or additional circumstances are elucidated that require decision-making “in-place”, elaboration of additional details and nodes, updating of existing design documentation. Therefore, we believe that to achieve the highest quality result, it is necessary to support the project by its author. Accompaniment of the project allows the author to constantly “keep his hand on the pulse”, to level out the difficulties that arise during the implementation, and to strive for the utmost perfect embodiment of the conceived.
- project support (consulting performers and the customer during the implementation of the project on current issues within the competence of the designer);
- adjustment of the working draft taking into account the actual position after the construction of the walls (if necessary);
- supervising the work of related organizations responsible for the development of engineering and technical systems of the project, adapting technical solutions to the overall aesthetics of the project;
- supervising the work of related organizations responsible for the manufacture of individual elements of the project (author's and custom furniture, lighting systems, decorative products, etc.);
- author's supervision;
